Whether it is time to replace your existing heating and cooling system or you are simply looking for an option that better suits your needs, the ductless heat pump is not something to be overlooked. These systems combine two targeted and highly energy-efficient principles for an all-in-one system that offer unprecedented results for years to come. At Energy Technologies, we are proud to offer our customers an opportunity to enjoy these advanced technologies in their own homes.
Benefits of heat pumps include:
- All-in-one capabilities - Heat pumps are a fantastic alternative to your AC or heater because they both heat and cool. And they're perfect for the Pacific Northwest's moderate climate.
- Energy efficiency - Since heat pumps transfer hot and cooled air as opposed to combustion, it's much better for your utility bill and the environment. If you want to go green, contact our Kirkland heat pump installation experts today.
- Targeted comfort - With ductless heat pumps you're better able to regulate the indoor air temperature for your different rooms. If you're not in your basement much, why does it need to be heated year round?
- Quiet operation - Compared to traditional heating and AC units, the ductless variety are much quieter so you can enjoy your indoor air temperature in peace.

How the System Works
Ductless heat pumps combine two types of fairly common HVAC equipment: ductless mini-splits, and heat pumps. The heat pump part of the equation is a method of climate control that, rather than heating or cooling the air, moves heat around as the weather dictates. This means that in the cold winter months, the system draws heat from the outside air and brings it into the home, and during warmer weather, it can pull heat away from the home to leave it cool and comfortable. Meanwhile, the ductless aspect of the system gives homeowners a way to precisely target their home comfort room by room – without, as the name would imply, relying on ductwork. This saves energy by maintaining a comfortable temperature only where you want it, rather than wasting energy heating or cooling a room you aren’t using.
